Ormit talent is a specialist in traineeships for young professionals, at the start of their career.
We develop young potentials via coaching, training, and challenging projects at our clients.
We connect the ormit talents with those clients, giving them access to young professionals that want to make a difference and add value to our client’s organisation.
To be able to make that difference, we consider it of vital importance to get a good view of what our trainees strengths are, what gives them energy, what motivates them, what helps them in finding drive and engagement.
Having these insights not only enables them to steer their careers, but also in finding the best context to nurture and to continue develop their talents.
We have integrated the Career Fitness Profiler in the individual career development programs. We find that the feedback based on the Career Fitness report puts our employees in an action modus, helping them to take initiatives in terms of the next steps in their careers.
Yannick Van Ro - Talent Development
Over the years we have come to appreciate the instrument for different reasons: we find that the Career Fitness Profiler helps us to identify the specific issues we need to work on with a trainee when it comes to their career choices.
The report reveals the career tensions that exist within a young professional through the pitfalls that are listed in the report, supports us in making these pitfalls tangible and is a good base to have open discussions about them.
We like how the Career Fitness Profiler makes it very clear to our trainees what they need to do to get what they want out of their career. Career coaching often risks staying in the “What do I really want”-phase of the coaching. While finding out the answers to the question “What do I really want?” is vital, career coaching cannot stop there. ‘Knowing what you want’ does not equal ‘getting what you want’.
The Career Fitness Profiler makes that abundantly clear to our trainees. The model of the career management attitudes and the characteristic human figure that makes the model very understandable is great in this respect. Over and over again, we see how the trainees react positively to this model and we see them taking action to steer their careers.
We are delighted to see how the Career Fitness Profiler does not only help us to make a diagnosis, it also gives great tips for development. We manage to stay away from merely evaluating the development but truly engage in discussions on how we can support our trainees in their development needs. If you know that in general only 20% of employees feel they get developmental feedback and that this lack of feedback makes them feel disengaged in the talent development efforts of their company, that should tell you something.
We are confident that all our trainees receive ample development feedback throughout their traineeship and the Career Fitness Profiler is a big help in that department.
We love how working with an evidence-based instrument allows us to make progress visible. We put all our efforts into making our trainees fit for the current employability context. Stability and job security are an illusion. We know that they will change jobs and companies many times, sometimes by their own choice, sometimes not. We want to make sure that, whatever happens, they are fit to adapt and stay on track to make sure they reach their career goals.
When our trainees arrive at ormit talent, we measure their career management attitudes. Then we spend two years developing these attitudes. When we measure them again at the end of their traineeship, we see the progress and so do they.
